- 3rd Party Integration - Forwards real time position and alarm data in a variety of customizable data formats (XML, Cursor On Target (CoT), CVS, EXML, XLS, or User specified). Data delivery methods are also customizable (HTTPS, SFTP, FTP, Email, SMS, SSL, etc).
- Security – Encrypts all data transmitted and received using Verisign certificates. Any data that is forwarded by iDEN is also encrypted using the most secure methods available, and to virtually any standard.
- Power Management – Provides GPS tuning that allows iDEN to precisely control how often and long to run the GPS chipset. This device can be configured to attempt a specified amount of connections to GPS before it reverts to sleep mode, resulting in longer battery life when in areas where GPS is unavailable. iDEN can also be configured to not send position reports when not in motion, further conserving power by eliminating redundant position messages.
- Dynamic Reporting Rates – Sends position reports based on motion, change in speed, and change in heading. Alternatively, you can choose “Smart Sending” mode to disable reporting when not in motion.
- Alarms – Offers customizable alarms that let you indicated preferred alarm type. Configured alarms include: over-speed, geofence, low battery, GPS failure, and when coupled with an external sensor, iDEN alarm monitoring offers endless possibilities. When an alarm is triggered data can be delivered via your desired protocol (SFTP, HTTPS, Email, SMS) in real time.
- Position Approximation – Reports the position of the nearest cell tower when GPS acquisition is unavailable. This is invaluable information for emergency responders during kidnapping and theft situations.
- Privacy Mode – Ensures privacy of off-duty users. Phones can be configured to not report GPS location on certain days and at certain times.
- Simple User Interface – Works as soon as phone is turned on. The iDEN interface is extremely simple to use, with no confusing menus, log-ins, or options required to use the device.
- Message Caching - Works with standard cellular towers to relay position information as long as cellular service is available. If service is not available in a particular area iDEN will automatically store the data. Once the user returns to a service area all data will be uploaded. iDEN is capable of storing years worth of data (tens of thousands of position messages) for maximum reliability.
- Load Software Over-the-Air – Eliminates the need for specialized cables and loading software. When deploying to a large fleet of phones, iDEN can be loaded over the air.
