Total Asset Visibility Software (FELIX)

Innovative Asset Management

Numerex delivers satellite data through its FELIX Total Asset Visibility (TAV) mapping and management software. FELIX is the only asset tracking and messaging software program designed specifically for mission critical responders’ operational needs, serving both headquarters and field requirements.

FELIX is a truly thin-client application, able to map, display, and manage tens of thousands of devices in a useful and intuitive format, requiring no download of any application. The only software requirements are for Flash Player 8, which is standard on all new PCs (or available as a <1 Mb free upgrade) and any Web browser that supports Flash Player 8. FELIX is truly cross-platform (PC or Mac) and cross-browser (all popular browsers support Flash Player 8). When enhancements or required upgrades are made to FELIX , no additional downloads are required, allowing for the seamless introduction of upgraded features.

Numerex understands from experience in mission critical operations that large download requirements often prohibit field users from being able to access web-based software.

We have successfully tested and evaluated virtually all other software solutions - each originally designed as military or trucking solutions, both thin and thick client. Even the best of these require 10+ Mb Java downloads and repeated downloads with every alteration made. They are also incapable of providing web-based displays scalable to unit volumes exceeding hundreds of units. FELIX solves the problem, displaying 20,000+ units for individual clients today.

The underlying FELIX system configuration is fully redundant, with instantaneous and seamless failover capabilities. Our prime and redundant server locations are Tier 1, five-nines hosting facilities. Data generated by transmissions and user interaction with FELIX is stored indefinitely.
